Flexible and Diverse GCSE Programmes

We offer flexible GCSE courses with no compulsory options, allowing students to tailor their education to their interests and strengths. In addition to core subjects like Maths, English Literature and Language, and Science, students typically choose four additional options from a wide array of subjects, including:

  • Humanities
  • Arts
  • Drama
  • Technology
  • Physical Education
  • World Languages

We also provide opportunities to study unique subjects such as:

  • Psychology
  • Photography
  • Economics

More able students may take one or two GCSE exams in Year 10, further customising their academic journey.

Pupils join the Senior School from Year 9 and naturally progress into the Sixth Form; seamlessly continuing to build on and carry forward their learning and experiences.

In addition to our own pupils who have excelled in the journey from Early Years, Junior and Senior Prep to Senior, we also welcome pupils who have completed their preparatory education at other schools and would like to complete their GCSE and A Levels at Sherfield. A number of overseas pupils join our Senior School also, allowing our Seniors and Sixth Formers to benefit from cultural learning experiences.
